Michael Bisping has his focus on Vitor Belfort, as the two middleweights will collide in a matter of days at UFC on FX 7.

Bisping, however, hasn’t let his mental preparation for “The Phenom” keep him from jotting down his thoughts in a blog for Yahoo! Sports.

The former winner of The Ultimate Fighter revealed his thoughts on Chris Weidman, who many few as the top contender to the title. However, Weidman has been forced to the sidelines with an injury, leaving Bisping a victory away from securing a title shot vs. Anderson Silva later this year.

“Chris ‘Sick Note’ Weidman, a nice humble guy who’s got plenty to be humble about, at the top of the rankings,” Bisping wrote. “And as Chris retired last June, there’s no doubt I’m the No. 1 contender to Anderson Silva’s world middleweight title.”

Weidman was pushing hard for a match with Silva before “The Spider” decided to fight Stephan Bonnar. He was scheduled to meet Tim Boetsch, but an injury forced him to the sidelines.
