UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is known for his quickness and ability to throw punch after punch after punch.

However, come later this month and UFC on Fox 6, “Mighty Mouse” may have met his match in the speed department in John Dodson.

The two will collide from Chicago in the main event, and Johnson knows he will be tested by the former Ultimate Fighter winner.

He’s super-athletic, I’m aware of that. He has a great sense of style and he likes to go out there and fight. I think overall, it’s gonna be a very exciting fight.

Johnson took out Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez, both favorites to win the first-ever UFC flyweight title, last year. This will be his first title defense and first time fighting on Fox. Johnson is 16-2-1 in his career, with his losses coming to UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and Brad Pickett.

When asked about the speed comparison of the two, Johnson said his level of skill is different than what Dodson brings to the Octagon.

He can have the speed to contend with me, but it’s not always about the speed. That’s now how I win all my fights. It’s not because I’m super-fast. I’d like to think that I’m good fundamentally and I have a good skill-set. So he can match me speed-for-speed, but will he match my pressure? Will he be able to match my cardio? There are more aspects than speed.
