UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and UFC president Dana White have a different relationship since what went down last summer surrounding UFC 151.
As we all remember, Dan Henderson was forced out, Chael Sonnen offered to step in, and Jones said no. That prompted the first-ever card cancellation under White’s watch – and he was none too happy about it.
Well, it appears things remain a little uneasy between the two, as White was asked about Jones during the Consumer Electronics Show in which he was a keynote speaker.
In reference to Jones’ comment about feeling like “a piece of meat,” White said, “That’s a little diva there. Being treated like a piece of meat; that’s a diva.”
Jones will still fight Sonnen, but it will happen in April after the next season of The Ultimate Fighter finishes airing on FX. The two will be coaches for the middleweight season.
