Bellator MMA made quite the splash Thursday night, generating record-breaking numbers on Spike TV with Bellator 85.

The card featured a pair of world title matches, including wins from Michael Chandler at lightweight and Pat Curran at featherweight.

The show was viewed by 938,000, almost tripling the previous best by Bellator 44 of 325,000. That card aired on MTV2, another network owned by Viacom.

The ratings peaked with 1.1 million viewers tuning in for the Curran-Patricio Freire fight that started the contest. The main event between Chandler and Rick Hawn averaged 950,000 viewers.
