The UFC went through a very trying year in 2012, as several events were hit hard by the injury bug.

While 2013 has yet to really kick into gear, UFC president Dana White is at least pleased with the first month.

“We had a rough year, a very weird year,” said White, during a recent press conference. “This year has kicked off great. The main card in on and still intact, and that makes me very happy. We are delivering the kind of cards we knew we could deliver to Fox.”

UFC on Fox 6, which takes place this evening, features UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson in the main event. The other three main card bouts all are the ones originally planned.

“The gate is great, we are close to selling out. It will probably be a $1.3 million gate,” White added. “I am very excited; this is a great card.”
