Just a day before the event goes down, Bellator MMA has been forced to scramble, as Patricky “Pitbull” Freire has suffered an injury and is out of Bellator 87 and the main event.

Freire was set to face Guillaum DeLorenzi in a season eight lightweight bout, but will be replaced by Saad Awad instead.

The new main event boasts Lloyd Woodard and David Rickels, while Awad-DeLorenzi remains on the Spike TV main card.

Weigh-ins go down later today, while the event begins at 8 p.m. ET on Spike.com Thursday. The Spike TV main card starts at 10 p.m. ET and will feature four opening round bouts in the lightweight tournament.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed news of Freire’s withdraw from the fight.
