Former WEC champion Urijah Faber has been inside the cage with Jose Aldo and knows exactly the kind of punishment the UFC featherweight champion can deal out.

While never competing against Aldo’s opponent tonight, Frankie Edgar, Faber’s style is very similar to that of the former UFC lightweight champion. Aldo and Edgar meet in the main event of UFC 156.

“I think Aldo wins because I know Aldo is a tough guy, so I need to give him a slight advantage,” said Faber, during a recent interview with Tatame. “I feel that if Edgar can keep the pace and take the fight to the ground, this will be a difficult fight for Aldo.”

Faber competed just once in 2012, falling to Renan Barao in a bout to crown an interim UFC bantamweight champion. He returns to the Octagon later this month against Ivan Menjivar. at UFC 157.
