Frankie Edgar just can’t win on the scorecards anymore.

After taking a pair of decisions from BJ Penn back in 2010, Edgar has now lost three straight decisions in UFC title matches, including Saturday night’s loss to Jose Aldo at featherweight.

“I keep finding myself in these situations,” Edgar said. “Jose’s the winner. Jose fought a great fight.”

Edgar turned it on late in the five-round war, out-striking Aldo over the fourth and fifth rounds. However, it wasn’t enough to impress the judges, as two of them gave four of the five rounds to Aldo. The other had it closer – as did most who watched.

UFC president Dana White stated that Edgar’s UFC future remains at featherweight, though he will not receive an immediate rematch as he did with Henderson last year.
