Former Strikeforce female champion Cris Cyborg doesn’t appear to be UFC-bound in the near future.

During an appearance on Inside MMA Friday night, Cyborg’s manager, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, confirmed that the two sides are attempting to work out her release from a contract.

“Right now, we’re actually waiting for (the) UFC to release (Cyborg),” Ortiz said. “We asked for them to release her, so Dana White actually talked to me (Thursday). They gave an offer, I went to ‘Cyborg’ and she said she didn’t want to do it.”

Ortiz claimed that the UFC offered her an extended contract, which included a 140-pound fight with Ronda Rousey. Cyborg, however, only wanted a four-fight deal and declined.
