Josh Koscheck and Nick Diaz likely will not be sitting down and enjoying a nice dinner together anytime soon.
In fact, Koscheck doesn’t really enjoy much of anything about Diaz.
“Did you say a fan of Nick Diaz? No, I’m not a fan,” said Koscheck, during a recent interview with MMA Heat’s Karyn Bryant. “His values and my values are way different. He does things that I don’t do. The smoking the pot and things like that, I don’t associate with things like that.”
Koscheck will return to action later this month against Robbie Lawler at UFC 157. He has been on the sidelines recovering from a training injury since a fight with Johny Hendricks in early 2012.
As for Diaz, he will meet UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre for the title. And, don’t think for a minute that “Kos” hasn’t thought about how Diaz worked his way into the fight.
“It seems like now in the UFC, if you can talk a good game, you might be able to get a light heavyweight title shot,” Koscheck said. “And, if you get suspended for a year, and then you come right back after losing a fight, you get to fight for the title. Maybe I’ll just take another couple months off and do some things I shouldn’t do and fight for the title.”
