UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been selected as one of the 16 finalists in ESPN Sport Science and SportsCenter’s poll to determine the greatest athlete of all-time.

Silva, who has successfully defended his title 10 times, will be going up against some of the best athletes the world has ever seen. His first round opponent is Michael Phelps, who set an Olympic record with 22 career medals.
