UFC president Dana White confirmed on Wednesday that plans are in place for Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold to main event a card in Brazil. While no official date or location was announced, White said they are targeting the second quarter of 2013 for the fight.

Belfort (22-10) recently defeated Michael Bisping via TKO in his native country of Brazil. The win was the 11th for “The Phenom” inside the Octagon.

Rockhold (10-1) will be making his UFC debut, as he enters from the ranks of Strikeforce. He was the final champion in the promotion.

White made the announcement while in London for Saturday’s UFC on FUEL TV: Barao vs. McDonald card.
