Daniel Cormier doesn’t let anything get past him when it comes to his current opponent – or even future opponents for that matter – talking about him in the media.

Recently, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir told ESPN that he felt the level of competition that Cormier beat up on in Strikeforce wasn’t that of which the UFC has to offer.

It didn’t take the former Olympian long to respond, as he took to Twitter and let Mir have it.

Level of competition (Mir), you do realize I beat the guy fighting for the UFC title next fight. Research buddy! I can’t wait till 4/20.

Cormier was talking about Antonio Silva, who he defeated in Strikeforce during the Grand Prix. Silva will challenge Cain Velasquez, the UFC heavyweight champion, later this year.

“DC” and Mir are set to face off in April at UFC on FOX: Henderson vs. Melendez in the co-main event. The two were originally scheduled to fight last November, but an injury to Mir knocked him out of the fight.
