For Ross Pearson, lightweight is his home – again.

Pearson, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter, returned to 155 pounds late in 2012 and defeated George Sotiropoulos. He posted a 1-1 record at 145 pounds, but feels more comfortable at lightweight.

“To me, it doesn’t matter about size, it doesn’t matter about weight,” Pearson told Fighters Only. “Size and weight has nothing to me. It’s about skill and technique, so that’s what I’m going back to. Going back to my roots.”

The 28-year-old Brit will return to action this April when he welcomes Ryan Couture to the UFC at UFC on FUEL TV 9 from Sweden. Pearson is 14-6 in his MMA career, including alternating wins and losses in his last seven fights.
