Former PRIDE legend Wanderlei Silva will return to Japan for the first time in several years this Saturday night when he faces Brian Stann in the main event of UFC on FUEL TV 8.

The card is set for the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, and Silva is jacked beyond belief to be back in the country.

From 2000-2004, “The Axe Murderer” never lost in PRIDE, rising to prominence with his hardcore style of fighting and exciting finishes.

“Let’s fill up the Saitama Super Arena,” Silva said. “A lot of people will be there. I am sure this event will sell out. Let’s show the world the strength of the Japanese crowd.”

Silva, who has been involved in a pair of “Fight of the Night” performances with Cung Le and Rich Franklin in his last two, wants another bonus this weekend: “Knockout of the Night.”

“I’m coming off two ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses and I want another bonus this time. This one I want for ‘Knockout of the Night,'” Silva said. “I will get this bonus; I am going to win a bonus.”

Silva’s prime is well behind him, but he can still bring it with the best of them. Look for Stann to try and take this one to the ground to avoid the lethal hands of the Brazilian.
