Stefan Struve was willing to test the punching power of Mark Hunt Saturday night at UFC on FUEL TV 8, and for his decision, “The Skyscraper” will be spending a few extra days in Japan.

Struve suffered a broken jaw after Hunt landed a flying left hand in the third round. The loss snapped a four-fight win streak for the fighter, dropping him to 25-6 in his career – including five TKO or KO losses.

“Thanks for the support everybody,” Struve posted on Twitter after the fight. “I wanted (referee) Herb (Dean) to take the tooth out of my cheek and continue but then it turned out my jaw was broken.”

Struve and Hunt were one-upped by the main event between Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann for “Fight of the Night” by UFC president Dana White, and the boss heard from Struve right away.
