Nick Diaz would accept a fight with Anderson Silva in a second. Just ask him.

Diaz is set to face Georges St-Pierre in a matter of days at UFC 158, and the former Strikeforce welterweight champion doesn’t fully understand why GSP has been so against facing Silva.

“If I were in his place, I would do more,” Diaz said, in a recent interview with the UFC. “I would be asking for the Anderson Silva fight. I wouldn’t let that blow away. That’s crazy.”

Back when he was suspended and fighting the Nevada Athletic Commission’s ruling, Diaz made it known through his trainer and manager Cesar Gracie that he would be willing to accept a fight with Silva if offered.

UFC president Dana White said at the time that Diaz was not in the running to meet “The Spider,” but one would have to think that all could change with a win over GSP.
