Championship Fighting Alliance 11 typically would not be getting much mainstream MMA media attention.
However, when you book a transgender fighter, that changes the way it is covered, as Fallon Fox has been placed on the May 24 card.
Fox is expected to resume competition in the featherweight tournament, according to CFA promoter Jorge de la Noval.
There is some issue with her fight license, as it is being investigated by the Florida Athletic Commission.
“Her manager spoke to the commission and her license is active,” said Noval, in a message sent to MMAjunkie.com. “According to him, they said she was cleared to fight.”
Fox (2-0) is expected to face Allana Jones (2-1).
Fox was a male before undergoing several operations to become a female. Her fighting other females has come under the spotlight since she scored a victory earlier this month.
