After his loss to Urijah Faber at UFC 139, Brian Bowles (10-2) did not fight for over a year and a half. Now, he is set to make his return against plucky bantamweight, George Roop, at UFC 160. MMAJunkie confirmed today that the former WEC Champion will finally return to action after a series of injuries kept him on the sidelines.

Roop (13-9-1) is coming off a victory over Reuben Duran at UFC 158 and looks to create a win-streak in the Bantamweight division. The UFC is doing Roop no favors though, as the match against Duran was likely a “win or go home” match; now, he is matched up against the striking prowess of Bowles.

Can Bowles regain his championship form and make a run at the title? I guess we’ll know very soon.
