For Ross Pearson, his fight with Ryan Couture was all about remaining patient and poised.

The Brit did those two things, taking advantage of an opening when it was presented and finishing off Couture this weekend for his second straight win since returning to 155 pounds.

“The first round was about figuring him out,” Pearson said. “He’s unorthodox and it took me a while to figure him out.”

Pearson found his opening and made Couture pay, bruising up his face with some slick ground-and-pound that followed a nasty left hook.

“They say pressure and patience,” Pearson added. “I found my range and distance and I made it work.”
