Stefan Struve suffered a devastating loss to Mark Hunt earlier this year, and also was forced to undergo surgery due to a broken jaw from Hunt.
Now, a few weeks removed from the operation, Struve told FUEL TV that he is doing better and recovering well.
I’m doing great. They put a nice titanium plate in there. I’m going to start training again probably next week, sparring in 10 weeks and hopefully be back in four to five months. Everything’s going well. I expected a lot worse to be honest with you. I thought I’d be eating through a straw right now, but I’m chewing and talking and all the good stuff. So, I’m doing well.
Struve had his win streak snapped by Hunt, but said he is targeting a return to action in October.
It will be interesting to see what happens with “The Skyscraper” upon his next fight, as he has suffered some devastating knockout losses in his career. However, he’s shown his skills in some big-time wins, as well.
