Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal will make his return to the Bellator cage this summer.
Lawal, according to a report by MMAWeekly.com, will be one of four men to compete in the 205-pound “Summer Series” tournament. The winner will receive a future Bellator title shot.
Lawal (9-2) entered Bellator’s season eight field as the odds-on favorite, but was defeated by Emanuel Newton. Spike TV president Kevin Kay confirmed the inclusion of Lawal, but said no opponent has been linked yet.
