The World Series of Fighting had a case of good news/bad news on Tuesday.

First, the bad news, as Tyrone Spong has been removed from a planned appearance at WSOF 3 later this year after visa issues.

Spong, a kickboxing standout, was expected to face Angel DeAnda on the June 14 card in the co-main event. Sherdog first reported the removal of the fighter.

In a bit of better news, Tyson Griffin confirmed on Twitter that he has signed a deal with the promotion.

Griffin stated he is hoping to be “on the August WSOF card and can’t wait to put on the most exciting fight the (WSOF) fans have ever seen.” He is a veteran of the UFC, and sports a 16-6 career record.
