UFC president Dana White wants nothing more than to hold a mega UFC event inside Madison Square Garden. Heck, he made it known that the promotion would hold a 20th anniversary event there in November if the government sanctioned MMA.
However, in recent days, the idea that MMA becomes a legal sport in New York appears to have hit another roadblock. Now, White just plans on letting things fall where they fall.
“We’re either going to get sanctioned here or not,” White said last week. “We’ll only do it if the government (sanctions it). We’re still working on it.”
White added that more votes approved in the senate, but “it’s just to the point now where it’s absolutely ridiculous and I’m over it.”
