Bellator MMA is considering a move to Wednesday nights in the future, according to a report by MMAjunkie.com.
Plans are in place for the upcoming “Summer Series” to air on Spike TV Wednesday, a day earlier than the MMA promotion has been running live events since moving to the network.
“We haven’t made any decision about moving it off Thursday,” a Spike TV executive said. “We’ll take a look at the time slot for September down the road, but right now, this is a change for the summer.”
Another difference for the “Summer Series” will be four-person tournaments instead of eight. Light heavyweight, heavyweight and featherweight classes are scheduled to compete.
