Reports surfaced earlier in the day Wednesday concerning UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

They centered around Silva being injured in training and forced out of the July 6 match with Chris Weidman at UFC 162.

Ed Soares, the manager for Silva, told that those reports are completely “not true.”

Silva has not fought since last October when he defeated Stephan Bonnar in a non-title fight. He previously defended his belt last July, stopping Chael Sonnen.

That was the same month Weidman last competed when he skyrocketed up the rankings by finishing Mark Munoz.
