Outside of the main event, UFC on FUEL TV 10 doesn’t offer much impact in terms of the Top-10 rankings or potential title-challengers in the near future.

However, the heavyweight collision between Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is an important one, as both fighters have their sights set on the UFC title.

For Werdum, a win would mean his third straight since returning to the UFC. That includes a decision victory over Roy Nelson, one of the hottest fighters regardless of division right now – Editor’s note, I mean that with all due respect to “Big Country’s” winning ways and not appearance.

While Cain Velasquez-Junior dos Santos III appears to be a done-deal, Werdum could position himself as the next challenger or even an injury-replacement with a win.

Nogueira, meanwhile, is 3-3 in his last six, but his name and resume carry a lot of weight. He is a former interim UFC champion and has defeated some of the best fighters in the world.

“Big Nog” would likely need a finish of Werdum or another Top-10 victory to cement his status, but a run to gold starts in Brazil for the legend.

Thiago Silva and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante are the most known fighters on the card other than Werdum and Nogueira, and a win could move either one closer to the Top-10, but that is about it.

Otherwise, just expect some insane crowd cheering – especially when the Brazilians are in action – which will be each fight on the docket.
