Stipe Miocic has been given a chance to make quite the statement at UFC 161 this Saturday night, as he will face Roy Nelson in the co-main event from Winnipeg.

Miocic was originally set to fight on the card, but against Soa Palelei. Now, he’ll tackle a Top-10 ranked fighter in Nelson.

“He is super tough,” said Miocic, during a recent conference call. “I need to stick to my game plan.”

Miocic (9-1) suffered his first career loss last September, falling to Stefan Struve via second round TKO. He had previously won his first nine fights, including three in the UFC.
