Dan Henderson thinks Rashad Evans will stand and trade with him tonight at UFC 161 – at least until he lands a big shot.

After that, Henderson is expecting plenty of takedown attempts by the former UFC light heavyweight champion.

“I think it’s going to be a war,” said Henderson, following weigh-ins Friday. “He’s quick and dangerous on his feet and a good wrestler. He mixes up things real well and I plan on staying in his face and hitting him hard, and expecting that he’ll try and take me down after that.”

Henderson (29-9) had his recent win streak snapped by Lyoto Machida earlier this year. He was expected to contend for the UFC title last year before suffering a knee injury.

Since joining the UFC in 1998, “Hendo” has won six of his nine bouts inside the Octagon.
