Miesha Tate was thrown into the role of coach on The Ultimate Fighter at the last minute.

That, though, didn’t keep her from embarking on the journey – and even enjoying it in the process.

Tate and UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey are completing filming for the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter. The show will air on FOX Sports 1 beginning this September with both male and female fighters competing for UFC contracts.

“I’ve had so many amazing & humbling experiences coaching this season of TUF,” Tate posted on Twitter recently. “Sad its coming 2 a close but I will 4ever cherish these memories.”

Tate and Rousey, who locked horns previously in Strikeforce, are expected to fight this December for the UFC title.
