UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was set to possible cash in on a huge money-match with Anderson Silva.

However, all that was thrown away when Chris Weidman stunned Silva via second round knockout at UFC 162 recently.

Immediately after the loss, Silva stated that he had no desire to rematch Weidman. Jones, though, believes he will have a change of heart once he gets away from the world of MMA.

“I don’t see why he wouldn’t want it,” he wrote on Twitter. “Outside of the showboating he was looking fantastic.”

After Weidman clipped Silva with a left, the then-champion seemed to pretend to be fazed. That just incited Weidman, as he landed another left and followed with two shots on the ground that knocked “The Spider” from his web.

As for Jones, his next title defense comes in September when he meets top contender Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165.
