The UFC’s return to Brazil this August has not been an easy one on officials and matchmakers.

Starting with a new main event, several of the planned fights have now been changed around.

Thursday was a busy day for UFC 163, as a handful of new bouts were announced and made official.

Cezar Ferreira will now be taking on Thiago Santos after an injury knocked Clint Hester out. Ferreira (5-2) is a winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, while Santos is 8-1 in his MMA career and will be debuting in the UFC.

John Lineker now gets Octagon newcomer Jose Maria Tome after Phil Harris was forced out. Tome is on a 16-fight unbeaten streak that includes 15 wins.

A previously reported bout between Francimar Barroso and Ednaldo Oliveira has also been signed, sealed and delivered. Barroso is replacing Robert Drysdale.
