Thales Leites felt the rush of competing for a UFC title, working his way to a match with Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight title a few years ago.

Saturday night at UFC 163, Leites returned to the Octagon and defeated Tom Watson, scoring his sixth win with the promotion – but first since 2008.

“I’d like to say to all the world, I’m back in the UFC where I belong,” Leites said. “I had some problems with surgery on both knees, but now I’m back to fight and couldn’t be better.”

Leites (21-4) was all over Watson (16-6) from the start, scoring takedowns with easy and bloodying the Brit up on the feet.

Despite looking a little fatigued near the end of the first two rounds, the Brazilian had no trouble finding his momentum again throughout the action.
