Travis Browne knows that taking on Alistair Overeem is a great challenge.

With it, he also knows that a tremendous opportunity has been presented before him at UFC Fight Night 26 this Saturday night when he steps inside the Octagon with the former Strikeforce champion.

“(Overeem) is a great name fighter,” Browne said. “I look forward to competing against him.”

Browne dismissed his lack of “experience” as Overeem has stated, saying that “unless he does something he hasn’t before” it isn’t going to cause him any issues.

The UFC will be debuting on FOX Sports 1, and the chance to be in the spotlight as part of the main card hasn’t been missed by “Hapa.”

“It is a great honor to be part of this card,” he said. “They have been talking about Boston and how big of card it is going to be. I am just happy to be part of it.”

Browne is coming off a victory over Gabriel Gonzaga via knockout. He is 4-1 since a draw with Cheick Kongo in 2010.
