According to UFC president Dana White, the long-awaited battle between Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva will be placed in the co-main event role for UFC 167 this November on one condition.

“If Wanderlei’s healthy, I will definitely make it UFC 167’s co-main event,” said White, appearing on FOX Sports Live Wednesday night.

The card takes place November 16 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main event boasts Georges St-Pierre putting his UFC welterweight title on the line against Johny Hendricks.

Sonnen, of course, has been calling out “The Axe Murderer” for several years. He recently submitted Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to snap a two-fight losing streak.

Silva is coming off a win over Brian Stann earlier this year. The two have traded several verbal jabs through interviews and social media, making the build-up to the fight – if signed and delivered – one to catch.
