Conor McGregor’s pursuit of “whipping ass and looking good” will be put on the shelf for the foreseeable future – well, at least the whipping ass part.

McGregor has suffered a torn ACL, along with other ligament damage, as confirmed by UFC president Dana White Thursday night. White appeared on “FOX Sports Live” to make the announcement.

Following his win over Max Holloway, McGregor cited pain in his knee and claimed that he “heard a pop” during the bout. The Irish-born fighter is 2-0 inside the Octagon and 15-2 in his career overall.

Recently, McGregor called out the entire UFC featherweight division’s Top-10. He has received backlash from 145 pounders and up, including Diego Sanchez.
