Credit Donald Cerrone for always being honest.
Cerrone will face Rafael dos Anjos this evening at UFC Fight Night 27 in the co-main event.
And, while the Brazilian sports a No. 10 ranking in the latest UFC lightweight division Top-10, “Cowboy” has no clue who he is. Or, at least didn’t until starting to prepare for him.
“Not to be disrespectful about the guy. It’s just that I don’t really pay attention,” said Cerrone, during an interview on The MMA Hour earlier this week. “It has nothing to do with me or (people) directly around me, I just don’t pay attention. I’m sure he’s been out there doing great things. I just have no idea.”
The 30-year-old improved his record to 20-5 with a victory over KJ Noons earlier this year. He has gone 7-2 since joining the UFC from the WEC in 2011.
