Chael Sonnen has been inactive in terms of actual fights in the past.
Now, Sonnen wants to remain as active as possible, pushing for a third match later this year.
Following his win over Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, the former contender to both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles pushed for a meeting with Wanderlei Silva.
While that appears to be uncertain at this point, Sonnen is just looking to fight again – regardless of the opponent.
“I’d really like to be part of the 20th anniversary show. I’m really looking to be part of the St-Pierre (vs.) Hendricks card,” said Sonnen, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. “I don’t have any opponent.”
Sonnen (29-13-1) has won seven of 13 fights inside the Octagon.
