Brandon Thatch didn’t enter the UFC with the same hype as Conor McGregor, but he did bring an impressive resume with him.

Thatch earned a victory over Justin Edwards in just over a minute last week, improving his record to 10-1. That includes all 10 victories via finish, the latest of which came on the big stage of the Octagon.

With the win, does Thatch want another opponent outside of the Top-10 to help get his feet wet? Nope, he is targeting someone else.

“(Martin) Kampmann just fought. He was recently a Top-5 fighter, and I think someone like that would be good,” said Thatch, during an appearance on Radio. “Whoever is going to pull out a good fight and a fight that the fans want to watch and people remember.

“That’s the fight that I want. I just want to make fireworks.”
Kampmann was defeated by Carlos Condit on the same card last week, but was viewed as a title contender very recently.

“I’m not rushing to get anywhere,” he added. “I’m just getting into the best organization in the world. I don’t want to not live up to the hype; I want to stick around.”
