Since Glover Teixeira has arrived in the UFC, the light-heavyweight has continued to add fans to his bandwagon and for good reason. Not only has Teixeira won four straight bouts now under the UFC banner, but in doing so, he’s showcased an impressive and well rounded game. As a result, plenty of pundits and fans are already forecasting a showdown with Jon Jones, despite the fact the two are set to take on Ryan Bader and Alexander Gustafsson respectively.

Although the betting lines have Teixeira has a massive favorite to win his UFC Fight Night 28 headliner with Bader, the Brazilian vet understands that “Darth” is a dangerous opponent. Case in point, while speaking to MMA, here’s some of what Teixeira had to say about the powerful wrestler.

“He’s a difficult opponent with great wrestling,” Teixeira said. “I think he’ll attempt to impose his wrestling since that’s his strong suit. But his knockout power and submission ability cannot be ignored. He doesn’t have a wide variety of submissions, but they are strong submissions. I think he’s a great athlete, and I think it will be a great fight. Our styles match up well and it will be a good fight for the fans.”

It’s going to be interesting to see whether Bader looks to trade with Teixeira or take him down, and further, if he can keep the noted grappler on his back. Although Bader has come up short against men like Tito Ortiz, Lyoto Machida and Jones, he’s definitely not the kind of fighter you can sleep on.

UFN 28 will go down in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and will be broadcast throughout the U.S. on FOX Sports 1. In the co-main-event, “Jacare” Souza will battle perennial middleweight contender Yushin Okami.
