Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos escaped his recent loss to Cain Velasquez without any serious injuries.

Ana Claudia Guedes, the manager for dos Santos, confirmed on Twitter that he only went to the hospital for “precautionary” reasons following the loss to the UFC heavyweight champion.

“Just letting everybody know Junior is doing fine,” she posted, adding that he needed only stitches after the fifth round TKO loss.

In the second meeting between the two, Velasquez handed “Cigano” a 25-minute beating, punishing his face for the better part of five rounds. The Brazilian also escaped that loss without serious injury.
