The next UFC card in England already has a main event, as light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson will meet Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
The promotion returns to England on March 8 from the O2 Arena in London.
For Gustafsson, the bout will serve as a stepping stone to another title contest after falling via decision to Jon Jones earlier this year for a belt. “The Mauler” is 15-2 in his career.
Nogueira (21-5) has looked impressive in his last two fights, defeating Rashad Evans in one. However, injuries have kept him from moving up the ladder quicker.
UFC president Dana White made sure it was known that the contest is not a title-eliminator, posting on Twitter “IF Nog wins he doesn’t get a title shot.”
Gustafsson, though, would get the winner of Jones-Glover Teixeira, who are expected to meet around the same time next year.
