Smart Bets

Aaron Miller over Michael Guymon at +325

I’ll admit, the odds for this card really do suck with so many mismatches, but this is a fight that is a golden opportunity for a big play. Aaron Miller has not only had a better Bellator career so far than Guymon, but stylistically is just a bad match-up. Guymon has UFC experience and a slightly bigger name, but that didn’t stop him from getting KO’d in his Bellator debut. Guymon is well-rounded with some solid grappling skills, but the better wrestler in Miller should be able to score the upset.

Josh Smith over Darren Smith at -160

Not a money maker here, but definitely a match-up that deserves stronger odds than given. Josh Smith and Darren Smith are two California-native fighters without much of a name. Coming into Bellator, there isn’t much you can judge them by, but by giving them both a look over Josh Smith appears to be the bigger, stronger, and more powerful fighter with a better track record. Expect Josh’s size and power to carry him through against a mismatched opponent.
