Chances are, Chael Sonnen isn’t spending too much attention these days wondering how his 2014 bout with Wanderlei Silva will play out, as he’s scheduled to fight Rashad Evans at UFC 167. After all, Evans is a former light-heavyweight champ, has knockout power and is also equipped with strong wrestling skills.

Silva, on the other hand, has nothing booked until he fights Sonnen, after the two finish coaching opposite one another on TUF Brazil 3. As a result, “The Axe Murderer” has already been discussing what he intends to do to his long time rival, when they finally meet next year. While speaking to MMA recently, the former PRIDE champ relayed:

“That’s the best part,” Silva said. “I know that, in the end, I’ll make him pay inside the Octagon for everything he says. I expect a great win, and I want a knockout.”

“It’s an advantage for me, actually,” add Silva, while discussing the fact he hasn’t fought since March when he KO’d Brian Stann. “I won’t have any injures when I get there, I will be ready to give him everything he deserves.”

And how does Silva foresee TUF Brazil 3 unfolding? Considering the animosity he and Sonnen apparently have for one another?

“It will be tough. He’s a douche bag, but that’s part of the deal,” he said. “I’m here to work. We do what we have to do. But it won’t be easy to live with him. Whatever I need to say, I’ll say right to his face.”

It should be a tense season; no question. Silva also relayed that he’s asked Dana White if Sonnen can bring an American team down for the show, as he believes doing so will boost ratings greatly. Silva also interestingly noted that the program needs to pull “good numbers”, as a means to ensure TUF Brazil 4 takes place.
