UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones isn’t too happy with recent news regarding his future contenders.

Jones, who is slated to face Glover Teixeira, believes Alexander Gustafsson should have to get past Daniel Cormier before he received a rematch.

Gustafsson was scheduled to face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, but the Brazilian bowed out of a planned 2014 encounter. A replacement is expected to be named soon for “The Mauler,” but Jones already has one in mind.

“Let’s see Gustafsson vs. Cormier,” he said, during an interview with MMA Fighting. “It makes so much sense. Me, Cormier, Gustafsson and Teixeira; the top-four guys in the division.

“Let’s put us all in a little round-robin pool.”

Jones bested Gustafsson earlier this year, scoring a decision victory. Many pushed for an immediate rematch, but the UFC paired the two with other opponents, adding in that wins by both would lead to a second meeting.
