Three men would earn $50,000 bonuses for their efforts tonight at UFC Fight Night 33 and none were surprising in the least. Mark Hunt, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua picked up the extra cash for their spectacular performances tonight in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. UFC officials announced the news at the UFN 33 Post Fight Press Conference.

Hunt and Silva Combine for “Fight of the Night”

Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva seemed like it would be one of those bouts that would likely be over within a round or simply a sluggish affair if it went the distance. Instead, the two men combined for one of the greatest UFC heavyweight bouts of all time over the course of their five round bloodbath that ended in a draw. The bonus is Hunt’s third and Silva’s second in the UFC.

“Shogun” Floors Te Huna for “KO of the Night”

The talk of retirement can be delayed for Mauricio “Shogun” Rua can be delayed a bit after an exemplary performance tonight against James Te Huna. Rua would floor the home crowd favorite with a crisp counter left hook that instantaneously separated Tu Huna from consciousness. The bonus is the Brazilian’s fifth in the Octagon.
