Tonight’s second UFC 168 fight took place in the lightweight division as Jim Miller took on Fabricio Camoes tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight would see the New Jersey native close out 2013 with a victory after securing a slick arm bar finish.

Miller Submits Camoes

Jim Miller picked up a crucial victory over a decorated BJJ blackbelt in Fabricio Camoes. Miller and Camoes went toe-to-toe with powerful strikes before Camoes got the fight to the ground. The dangerous Miller surprised Camoes by transitioning to a slick inside arm bar after baiting the Brazilian earlier in the round. Miller secured his first win of 2013 nearly a year to the day after defeating Joe Lauzon at UFC 155, while Camoes drops to 1-2 in his second UFC stint.


Rd. 1- Touch of gloves and we’re off. Camoes starts off the action with a leg kick. Knee to the body off the clinch by Camoes and he lands a solid left on the break. Hard right by Camoes connects but Miller returns fire. Hard right hook lands with a crack by Camoes. Both men are ducking in and throwing wild strikes so far. Camoes catches Miller coming in. Headkick by Camoes lands hard but Miller catches it and slams him down. Hard elbow by Miller. Camoes scrambles into a takedown of his own that Miller just misses reversing with just over two minutes to go. Rubber guard by Miller briefly but Camoes uses elbow to battle out. Armbar by Miller and it is just on the edge of being finished as Miller hooks the leg deeper. Camoes is forced to tap and he is visibly upset with doing so.
