For most, it was a typical Thursday.

For Tito Ortiz, it might have been the best Thursday of his life.

Ortiz, a former UFC light heavyweight champion, was cleared to return to MMA by his doctor after suffering another neck injury last year.

“News gets better and better,” he posted on Twitter. “Guess who’s cleared to fight? Me that’s who! I’m back. Time to train.”

Just before he broke that piece of news, Ortiz was in a court room battling for complete custody of the two children from his past marriage to Jenna Jameson.

The pair have been engaged in a lengthy battle, and Ortiz proclaimed that Jameson was a “no show again” for the hearing.

“I’m very thankful,” he posted. “I was awarded everything. I hope she gets help and does what the judge demands her to do. Now time to live life.”

Ortiz signed with Bellator MMA and was scheduled to face Quinton “Rampage” Jackson last November in the first pay-per-view for the promotion. His neck injury scrapped the contest.
