Former UFC Welterweight title contender Jake Shields (29-7-1) will finally make his WSOF debut and it will be against Ryan Ford (22-4) at WSOF 14.

Shields was suppose to fight Jon Fitch at WSOF 11 and that was going to be his WSOF debut. However, he was forced out with an injury.

Jake Shields has three knockouts, ten submissions and 16 decision victories in his career. He has been finished twice, which was 2 knock outs. He is a former Strikeforce Middleweight champion, and made his UFC debut in 2010 against Martin Kampmann. He won that fight, but lost against Georges St. Pierre in April of 2011 via Unanimous Decision. Since the GSP fight, his UFC record was and was released with a 3-2-1. He will be making his WSOF debut in this fight.

Ryan Ford has zero knockouts, but three submissions and one decision victory in his MMA career. The former Bellator fighter has won his last six fights. He made his WSOF debut against Joel Powell, which he won by KO at WSOF Canada – Ford vs. Powell on Feb / 21 / 2014.

The event takes place on Oct. 11 at Northlands Expo Centre in Alberta, Canada. The prelims will not be televised, but The main card will air on NBC Sports Network.
