UFC Fight Night 53 has received a change to it’s card, the original fight between Welterweights Nico Musoke (12-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Amir Sadollah (6-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) has been called off due to Sadollah pulling out due to an injury.

Now, Russian fighter Alexander Yakovlev will now be stepping in to face Musoke in his hometown.
Alexander Yakovlev (21-4) He has eight knockouts, eight submissions and five decision victories, while he has never been knocked out, he has three submission losses and once by decision in his MMA career.

In his last six fights, he is 2-2-1. In his most notable fight which was his last fight, was a win over ex UFC and Strikeforce fighter Paul Daley via unanimous decision in November. He made his UFC debut against Demian Maia at TUF Brazil 3 season finale, but lost via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Nico Musoke (12-3) Has four knockouts, five submissions and three wins by decision. Prior to joining the UFC, Musoke was 4-1 in his last five fights. He made his UFC debut against Alessio Sakara, which he won by armbar at UFC Fight Night – Machida vs. Munoz on Oct / 26 / 2013. He then would go on to beat Viscardi Andrade via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Machida vs. Mousasi on Feb / 15 / 2014. However, in his next fight he lost to Kelvin Gastelum via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Swanson vs. Stephens on Jun / 28 / 2014.

It’s unclear if it will be the main event or not. The event takes place at Oct. 4 at Ericsson Globe in the Swedish capital. The event is expected to stream on UFC Fight Pass.
